Unboxing Acer Aspire One Android netbook

Getting it running was the worse and slowest process ever.

Testing more now...

.. so far the whole Android part seems to be quite a hack. Not that nice to use either.

is the glossiness of the display due to the plastic wrap on the screen?

I had heard that the Acer Android wasn't too exciting. They did it without blessing from Google, so you don't get the "With Google" experience (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Android Market). I think it's good that they got Firefox on it though.

Hopefully they'll get the rest working at some point. I'm really hoping for a 9" or 10" Android slate.

Not userfriendly, not everyone is computerfreak. I like Devices you can use out of the box.

But lets see what you do with it :-)

nice video. I think Android was meant for touch Screen tbh moreso small screens. It looks awesome on HTC Hero but on Aspire one it looks like crap :(
