It appears they've addressed all my hangups with the M1; Ram, Headphone jack, and mouse. And Win7 to boot!
The only thing more I could ask for is a 64+gb ssd.
I'm not too keen on the color scheme though.

Awesome! This seems to promise exactly the changes that were needed!

And available next month too? Who knew! That should mean us in the real world won't need to wait until Q3 2010 for one of these babies! Of course, if it lacks 3G, more waiting is inevitable..

so they dumped the M1 to Kohjinsha and developed M2? lol

I assume that's a prototype color scheme, so it'll be sleek when the retail units appear. Anyway, that's irrelevant if the stuff inside is as good as it would appear!

Does that "W" next to the WiFi/BT indicator light(?), in Chippy's gallery pictures, indicate the presence of WWAN on that unit?

The M2 has 3G, 1 GB of memory, all standard connectors, optical mouse and buttons in an ideal position, an improved case design - I think every single rational complaint from the M1 has been fixed.

I so want one of these! What remains to be seen is the battery life and performance under Windows 7. Perhaps you could still throw XP in there if you have to, especially if one picks the 1.2 GHz model..?

Sorry double post, but just curious who wins- smartphones or PC (I mean X86) Recent news HTC Leo (1 GHz Snapdragon, multitouch, etc.) OOHH!!! I'm just a poor guy who looks all in one device! The best (and most convergent device I know is PC) But I do not want to carry more than one device! And then there is my PSP! And smartphone (HTC Blue Angel, FPSEce and browser, Youtube, Shoutcast and God knows what else =)OMG OC!!!) etc ! I'm looking for a device that replaces all of my aging devices. "AIO" as you wish. I'm not so sure what's happening now in mobile scene. There is more than 10 devices announced this month. Different hardware, different OS... For me FIE is most important! We will soon experience a cloud computing (OnLive beta anyone?) HD video, audio, gaming (Is it near?) But I want to do everyday tasks on the go! It is possible to do AR today! Wearables OMG...
