Hmmm.. looks still a bit too "Dell". On closeups the aluminum looks good.. Keyboard looks good.
Battery is 57Wh so their 12 hour claim is not happening in real life..
No RAM or HDD upgrade.. HDD is slow 1.8 incher..
1.5Ghz Z530 won't run Aero on W7... nor HQ fullscreen Youtube..
Price: €575 = $810

Looks good but too expensive i think. Will see what Videos will show us how it runs.
Using a 1.8 inch HDD is ridiculous. The processor is disappointing, but I can accept all of that if the 12 hour battery life is accurate.
I think the concept of netbook was too keep it cheap and this unit is not and it doesn't look like it offers anything exceptional.
Would be cool if you could get your hands-on on Nokia N900, another motnh for the realese but it can beat down N97 and HTC Touch Pro II you are curently playing with.
1.8" isn't that ridiculous! Even Lenovo's new ThinkPad 400s has a 1.8" drive. The solution is to replace the HDD with a SSD :-)
to be honest... it's not that sexy device in any way... bad specs , ugly design and price way too high..
Reminds me of a Macbook Pro meets a Dell. Pricey considering the specs.
I quite like the form factor on this my first impression of the device... but I just cant see how you get true value from this platform for that price!?! Slow HDD and processor, HD flash limited etc... Why would I buy one if I have to settle for less that what I want. I mean... we all are screaming for the right package... who will deliver and get the market support.
Remember everyone the price includes 3g modem, they are still expensive, im on this one pending reviews
i going to stick to my samsung nc10, and not down grade!
Z510 is not usually paired with GMA 950, but a better chipset that can actually run Aero.
Agree with fullscreen youtube rendering, though - it is all software.
Not impressed. Nice materials but for the price you'd expect better components. For this price why aren't they using an SSD? A crappy 1.8" PATA drive isn't going to win any awards.
And to those who think the 3G support is amazing, there are a BUNCH of other netbooks with 3G support. Many available for very little money wiht a contract, at least in the US.
