" Courier is a real device, and we've heard that it's in the "late prototype" stage of development. It's not a tablet, it's a booklet. The dual 7-inch (or so) screens are multitouch, and designed for writing, flicking and drawing with a stylus, in addition to fingers. "
This is looking good... now we need specs and reality check!

I'll pay $499.00US for it.
Considering there are no specs at this moment.
It is good to see that the French can still inspire people!
Just go look:
English-Subtitled Editis Smart Digital Book Video
I will have to start using a pen again!? Are we going backward rather than forward? I don't even use a pen anymore period.
What is "vegetablet" never heard of it?
Thats the imaginary tablet coming from that fruit company.. vege just suits it better... ( humor )
Looks like most of the UI is based on InkSeine, if MS can get the random slow downs and crashes in InkSeine addressed and make it generally more polished i think it will work just as well as is implied in the video.
Overall a nice concept that with a little work should become a very nice product (I'm not used to saying that about MS products, kinda suprised myself)
Vegetablet. jkk, you're genius. Something that funny really is a good start into the day (here in Switzerland it's now roughly 10:00)
But the booklet looks awesome. But i really hope it runs a fullblown CPU, which can also run win7. Microsoft is amazing lately. (zunehd,win7, now this. Can't wait for your 20 min unboxing of it :-)
maybe its an evoltion of this device:

If it's for real: Bring it to europe soon!
The Dual-Touchscreen concept, if suitable for writing as shown in the video, is just perfectly what I wan't for an every day Secondary-Device. Though it needs some reasonable battery life, for i'd like using such a thing for taking notes on lectures, and a somewhat open software plattform, so i can use the programs I want.
"Dual 7" screen" with almost to th edges LCD, so what's our guess(es) as to size of this?
Great device! Sigh me in!
Multitouch or gtfo
Oh wait..
