It looks like UMID is not using PCI-E 3G modem but either Siemens or some other modem with btob connector... so 3G upgrade is not that easy...
If power and USB lines are found on bigger pads, you could always solder a modem like I did here.
RAM and SSD soldered ...
Overall the internal design looks better than external.. Happy hacking Joe!

You said you could do a 3g mod like u did to the dell mini if u found usb lines. did you find any? and is there any room for a mini pci card in there?
Since i have a broadband service that uses ESN numbers assigned to broadband cards, i dont have a sim card.. so dont have to worry about vertical height as much for a sim card on top of the mini pci card.
Did you find any usb points inside? will a mini pci card fit in there?
