I see Asus has decided to do a spin-off of the hp mini 1000. And managed to do so with a *hefty* hard drive in it too!! This one looks very interesting.
any bets for what the ssd version will be called

while its nice to look at, if this is another slow 1.8" HDD, soldered RAM, short battery life, then not thanks.

Does the casing is aluminum like mini 2140 ?
I think, this is the slimmest netbook on the market.
I just order Asus 1000HA version from this Shop and I think that because the competition between Acer and Asus the prices are very nice and it's a real bargain. I use my netbook mainly for a editorial work on the go and for mobile communication.
