Gigabyte has updated their convertible touchscreen netbook to 10 inches. Bigger screen makes the body and the keyboard bigger too... On their Cebit preview video the call it TouchNote.

M1028 specs:

10 inch 1024 x600 touch screen
Intel Atom N270 with 1GB RAM
160GB HD
Bluetooth
b/g/n Wifi
Ethernet
3G option
SD card slot
ExpressCard slot
VGA out
3 x USB
1.3Mpix webcam
XP Home

ITMobility spotted it at MWC so thank them for live pictures.

Looks nice and seems to have good specs.
Hope the swivel hinge will be more solid.

Too bad it has such a crappy screen-resolution and the useless mousepad that HP also uses (a button on each side is soooooo annoying). I love my M912X with high-res screen. Only downside is the batterylife and the fact that it gets a bit hot when folded into tablet-mode.

^^ Kim is spot on. Low resolution and those buttons on the side! WTF were they thinking. My friend has an acer mini9 and it has the same setup and is basically unusable.

Well at least this has the touchscreen... Lets hope its priced under a grand...

If it costs a grand I'd rather have an outlet latitude XT. bigger/1280x800 screen, capacitive multi-touch, even the 1.2 ULV C2D is better than the atom. Be better built by far, too.

This is truly pathetic: after I posted a critical but detail comment on its video over at Youtube, the video suddenly became private (and I bet my post is gone)...

...truly pathetic, Gigabyte, that is.

It looks like this is actually the M912 being brought to the states, since reading the manual it says on page 22 that there are two resolution specs for the M912. That would also account for the lower screen size then the T1028.

It is a mad rush of 10-inch Netbook on the market these days. Acer, LG, Asus (of course), Lenovo, Dell and many more are switching to the 10-inch product line as a priority. Now Gigabyte offers a twis…
