I tried both the HP Mini 2133 and the Acer Aspire One, and while it's horrible on the Acer Aspire One, I found it quite bearable on the HP Mini 2133. The mouse buttons were just much easier to click-on, less pressure needed and more proeminent. (and very quiet, too, should be a real pleasure to use in bed at night :-P )
How about the HP Mini 1000? Does this low-cost device shows a less-useable mouse buttons, or is it just you that can't cope with them? ;-)

Humm well there's some truth in Anonymous comment, while being a quite rude comment.
I don't really look either at the whole YouTube videos that JKK posts... Maybe some quick sum-up in a text-form would be profitable for those that don't have time or don't want to watch more than a few minutes video?

is there any way to install windows 7 on eee pc 701 4gb?
I tried but it would not allow me to install it due to lack of space (only 3.7gb) it said it needed at least 6gb. I have two 8gb usb flash drives I added internally but they didn't show up on the windows 7 partitioner.

JKK, keep it up, great video. I will be loading Win 7 on my mini 1000. For the comments about the mouse buttons on the mini 1000, it is on par with the mininote 2133. I have an Acer Aspire One and the Mini 1000 buttons are much better.

After watching it all... well, yeah, it could be improved with a more strict use of time. This video had three different devices and a new operating system to show, so it will take time no matter what, but some additional preparation and a planning should cut down some of the slower moments.
This type of narration itself is fine, but it can easily draw out too much. I've watched all your videos and this is the first that could have used some trimming, though. Keep up the good work and keep the news coming. :)
had a good install on the first samsung q1, 2 gig ram the ceeron 900 machine. Need help with video, cannot get above 600*480. :(

as for an installation of windows 7 on eee pc 701 4gb: look out for instructions via google. there should be some size reduction hacks around.
it we will be interesting to see if a so called netbook version of win7 will address the obvious interface issues. actually the system is designed for large (very large) screen systems only.

How well does Windows 7 work with the U2010 concerning drivers and battery performance? I mean, does the rotation work as expected (when running in UMPC mode, etc).
I'm considering downgrading to XP Tablet, but if Windows 7 is fully functional with the U2010, I might use it instead :)

Did you install any graphics drivers on any of these devices?
I have installed win7 on my nc10 but graphics seem slow specially when using flash and ustream.TV.. installing firefox beta would make any diference?

ok. found what was going wrong.
I was running windows 7 on the clascic theme and it seems that the classic themes are slower than basic, even slower than Aero? Who would guess this...

jkk what about battery life compring to xp?
jkk... in the handwritting app you dont actually have to click on the icon's to do the corrective actions. if you merely draw a line through something it will delete.. draw a line connecting two words and they will be joined etc. actually touching the buttons is just a waste of time as they are intended only as instructional aids... back to watching the video

By the way, does the the U2010 have palm recognition? I know it's touch only and doesn't have a real digitizer, but I'm interested in the machine and that'd be nice to have (actually thought you had returned the device to conics already).
Also, would you mind testing if the 3G on the U2010 can be activated by turning wifi on and off on the physical switch after a sleep? I know this is a fix for the old U1010 model, even with the official 3G option. I know I wouldn't be the only one interested to know it. ;)
No palm recognition on fuji.. and 3G still not working after standby.. wifi on/off doesn't help
Shame, I'd expect palm recognition on the U2010. I'll look in to software solutions for both when I get the money to buy one, haha.

keyboard can be resized on windows 7, not so good on hard touch screen but on a light touch screen like new samsung keyboard could be full screen great to touch type.
Excellent as ever JKK, 28 minutes well spent. And 28 more than 'anonymous' further up spent on learning good manners.
I installed Windows 7 on my NC10 but ended up going back to XP for now. Although it worked very good on it, fast and so on.. battery life was way worse than on xp also found that hibernation was also very slow.
Everything regarding drivers was working, and the ones that couldnt be provided through windows update, i mange to get the vista version working, like the FN-Keys control software and audio drivers.
I will most surely be back to it when the final version is available. The Notebook edition of Course.

i tested windows 7 on one of my asus 900 and it works everything fine, not faster than xp but much better then vista ;-) i like windows 7 but i dont like the new taskbar i hope they will fix a little on it.

Running XP and Win7 in dual boot.
Speed of se7en on netbooks and mob. devices is amazing, huh? I have it on my 901, now i am searching an bigger ssd, the vLited se7en is not as good as the original.
It's working perfectly fine on my Gigabyte M912M tablet, the only thing is after it wakes up from hibernation sometimes I have to cycle the wireless adapter (usual shitty Broadcom, khm Atheros driver.)
