Great news for Ubuntu lovers, but is MS shooting it's own leg with these restrictions?
To sell XP with netbooks OEMs are not aloud to have more than 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD/160GB HDD on the setup..
Will netbooks be the most pirated computers this way?
Thanks MyDellMini

I heard that you could just buy the linux version and then put windows on it since it comes with a windows driver disc
yes, it cames with drivers... but where to get the OS? Torrents?
Well... you could probrally torrent it, or just get one of your old xp discs and put it on a usb
Here in Argentina some guy are selling Original Xp´s... OEM version...
I don´t know how they get it...
One of this shuold be enough...
You would never want to put XP on the Stec SSD it would never be satifactory for running that OS they would get way to many returns.
Very strange, I prefer Ubuntu, so it's not a problem for me :)
Here in Poland You can buy xp home for about $100. Definitely shooting it's own leg by MS, but it's not for the first time :)
Hmmmm... I have the 8gb version W/XP home, and it works just fine.
After adding virus software and a few other necessities Flash/Java/Office... I have just 1,5 Gigs left.
I put a 16GB sd card in (25$), and it's good to go!
I will probably put linux on soon though.
You should really try www.linuxmint.com I tried Ubuntu, and it wasn't nearly as smooth as Mint!
