Do you know if any of the RunCore SSDs will work in the Aigo's pci-e slot (in place of the 3G modem)? The limited storage is the biggest downside for me. I can always add a 3G modem via USB.
Sorry, but no.
These SSDs work only on those special pcie slots on Dell and Asus.
That is very sexy in black. All we need is wifi drivers for xp!
Aaah wonderfull black device with everything inside what i need for mobility. thats great, will be a late christmas gift ;-)

are you kidding guys???? on mobilx for 684 euros??? the EXACT same device from Alice mobile by TIM http://www.tim.it/consumer/c365/i3329/o76452/prodotto.do costs 449 euros, sim card included, unlocked obviously! you need to find a good excuse why paying 240 euros more!
@ fab. good find , but its in italian. how can i get this into the uk ?
does the aigo mid have a 3mp camera on the back like the gigabyte m528? the pictures I have seen do not have the camera on the back of it and only has the .3 mp webcam on the front.
I like this device but I would rather get one with the 3mp autofocus camera on the back.
Yes, the version i linked has the 3Mpix autofocus cam.
Fab, would be nice to know if non Italians can order it from TIM...
ok guys, i will get the info from TIM or the manufacturer and inform you.
Very interested!!! Maybe we can do a group buy, get a discount and some free shipping ;)
I just asked TIM concerning shipment outside italy and also Itelco concerning detailed specification. It might take a while until i get an answer. right now the device is NOT available in italy, but i'm subscribed and as soon as it's available i will know it. i'll keep you informed and will inform also JKK (and umpcportal)
sorry for spamming the comments section..
Itelco just wrote that they are going to publish "soon" all specifications and also a manual. how soon this is, no idea, but it could mean the device should be available..soon, maybe around christmas. i'll keep you posted
anyone know if it has GPS ??
yeah it has gps.
looks like it will be available same time as the m528 will be available .
looking at the prices from moblix and expansys makes me feel sick because expansys price started at around £420 and then they kept increasing it week by week.
i think this will be picked up by carriers in uk with a long contract otherwise who would seriously pay £500+ on a device that doesnt even support xp properly . except enthusiasts.
unless it is offered with a contract or the price is around £400 i will not buy this .
can tinyxp be put on this device? a small xp will use less resources and run better
i possible change in the aigo or gigabyte the ssd 4 gb with a ssd ide 1.8 64 gb?
Sorry, but SSD is soldered.. so no you cant upgrade it.
Let me just express something. When I walk around with a mid, a phone, a tablet or anything with an os that I can fit in my pocket I do not, do not, do not, want it to have windows on it. It should be a different experience. That leads to freshness, leads to innovation, a different viewpoint, interactivity, extroversion etc.. When i sit at home at control central ok. But when i am out at around I want it to have sensors, equipment, great UI, convergence and maybe a little AI. I refuse to be impatient and accept the windows simply because it is faster for me right now. A mobile OS needs to start from the ground up with the recognition that the user is the leader and the OS is trying to play catch up to all the sensors and interactivity that the user needs. Lets see an Arm 9 multi core cortex device with a stantum multi touch for resistive screens and a nice keyboard with spaced out keys with lots of equipment converging and some really nice accessories being packaged with these devices.
