Steps:
Delete, make new and format the first drive/partition to fat32 or nfts. I used Vista dvd on external usb dvd drive.
Make BartPE usb disk - copy i386 folder from XP disk to that usb stick. Boot with that usb stick.
On BartPE, click start, run and type: Run E:\i386\winnt32.exe /syspart:C: /tempdrive:C: /makelocalsource
XP install software starts and ends after copying files.. shutdown, take the usb stick out and boot..
..Grub bootloader appears..
type:
grub> chainloader +1 ...and hit enter key
grub> boot ...and hit enter key
Installing XP continues.. takes about 45 minutes.
Done!
Now wait for XP drivers ;)

Doesn't BartPE support partitioning and formatting? In any case, there are numerous boot disks - some linux-based, some dos-based collections of rescue tools that can be used to do the partitioning.
bart didnt see the linux drive... same with some other softwares...
like i said, this was easy way for me,,,
It worked,thats the only thing that counts.
Actually... Installing xp directly from an xp cd also works using a usb cd/dvd drive without any usb drive fancy tricks... Thats how I've been doing it going back and forth to midinux and xp...

simple, jkk used bartpe just cuz his xp cd is not working.
just use a cd usb drive and boot from there and install like a normal xp install
JKK, is Smart Button (am I right?) is just a software simple button and by now it seem doesn't work in windows, isn't it? If it is that will be nice to use it with UMPS Scrollbar. Great job, I'm waiting for a full review.

While I appreciate JKK's effort as always, but I have point out: such articles are very misleading and makes people believe that Aigo now runs XP fine. Long time ago, people have installed XP on M528, so it is no news. The problem is still the same: some key XP drivers are still not available anywhere.
Please let us know as soon as those XP drivers are available. Thanks.

what u did when it asked for PRess F8 while accepting agreemtn of Microsoft and Allow further installtion ? where in aigo ,there is no F8 ?
