Review coming soon? :)
Can u try and put some SSD's in PCI express slot?
Dang! If this little thing would've had a wacom digitizer, I would be all over it!
Actually, I'll probably buy it anyway, not in white though, waiting for the black version..
Are there any good UMPC's with wacom digitizer at all?
Do you find that using the keyboard is OK? I imagine that you are doing testing on this and are waiting to tell us more about the pros and cons after you have completed testing.
-SSD addition to see if it saves power and is quicker?
-Did you get the new power brick and battery that
chippy didn't get (with RJ-45 and USB)?
-Can it be under-clocked more than the keyboard
option? Will the processor go to really slow
to save power more?
-Did you Test the Ubuntu Mobile USB stick boot and
if so, then does all drivers work for it (we
know that the Ubuntu Mobile is beta still)?
-Would you consider this to be "pocket-able"?
Is this the toasted version from Chippy?
:)
nope, its my not yet toasted version...
jkk thanks for posting the photo. They look the same depth from this angle. Is this misleading or actually in practice are they a similar depth? (thinking about pockets here you see)
I live in Korea and have been in touch with Raon Digital. I have asked them to provide me one with English XP....that was before the recall. Now that they've pretty much fixed the problems they are balking on selling me one because they're not selling to the domestic market at this time. The Korean won has nosedived compared to the US $ and their costs have gone way up. In 5 weeks, the won has plunged from 1,070/$ to about 1,400/$. Here is a graph of the two currencies.....

Needless to say, my frustration and disappointment continue. I'm still waiting for a final answer. They did send me a pdf describing 2 new models...one with a 1 GB AMD Sempron, a 16 GB SSD running Ubuntu, the other with the original 1.2 AMD dual core and a 24 GB SSD running XP Home or Pro. Pro is also a choice for the 60 GB HDD.

Yay!!!!!
Thanks a lot for this. all I found so far was some shady pictures of the innards on an Asian forum. Looks really promising. This is exactly what i needed for my new netbook. Now.. to get one as soon as the next paycheck lands or; hmm news about an updated version...
to do:
case-thickness mod to incorporate extended battery and make room for USB-Expresscard mod to host Yoggie's Gatekeeper-card (yoggie.com).
(sadly a netbook is no use to me without *Nix sheild, windows alone not allowed at work)
Hi,
I am looking for HSDPA antenna to connect on Siera Wireless MC8775V modem to install on Everun Note from RAON DIGTAL
You mentioned that it has soldered RAM, Can you highlight it in the image please?, I considering sourcing a 2GB upgrade (if I can find it) and trying an upgrade. Any advice/help on this much appreciated.
