err, title says 4.8, while the specs say 4.3...
still, enjoy ;)
fixed, thanks!
Pure display ? That is what I was looking for.I want dual screen but not 19" (no space and too expensive),if this is cheap I might get one.
I wish it were cheap. Looks like the retail is ~$200 (19800 Yen)
I will have one, especially touchscreen one ;-) Nice thing this screen. And the Price is good too.
The Price in Euro is 21.40 i think this is not expensive.
jtj - Thats the SHIPPING cost, its 141.25 euro!!!
Truth to tell, I'll need someone to tell me what use such a small extra screen might have?
Where have you read that it would be touchscreen?
I remember of a previous product that was the same concept but the display was 7inches (still WVGA 800x480 tough) and it was touchscreen for sure.
What about this one? It's not in the specs...
uups sorry for that, 2dont read while sleeping" :-)
That technology would be great, especially in larger display sizes, as companions for MIDs. It'd also be a great way to eliminate one of the connectors from netbooks.
What this can be used for ?
You can use it for anything ;)and everything!
Well turnselfoff, for things like that I suggest the "contact jkkmobile" on top/right on the page, like you suggested on UMPCPortal ;)
the only thing it could be useful for is NOTHING.
Well if it can run as a normal display i think it would be quite nice when working with multiple text files or having manual/help/wiki on secondary screen and doint actual thing on main screen... or for having gps view for driver on secondary screen while you're playing a game/watching a movie or having some toolbars floating over there to maximize youre space on main screen or running vnc on main screen while having your pc on secondary one ... or having putty on csmasecondary display while having your machine o graphical stats or whatever on main screen... or the obvious uses as im in secondary screen , mail, rss ,newsgroups, pictures slideshow, varous hardware.os parameters. There are many uses for such a device it's up to you if you do any of those things often enough to justify spendyng so much money on it personaly i dont get why is it so expensive... maybe the price will fall
using my psp for the same purpose atm, look up pspdisp
It could be used as a dedicated chat window for MSN, Pidgin, Trillian etc..
It could be used as a diagnostic\status window for a server elsewhere on the property, without taking up main screen real estate.
You just need to have some imagination..
Are there any such displays avialable i mean vga or usb displays up to 9' battery or usb powered something that would be portable? I read about Asus UFOTO uf735 and atough bit bulky could serve same purpose... it is also posible to connect psp to winxp machine and get it to act as a secodary display but that's a bit pricey. Maybe there is a way to use your mobile phone as secodndary display?
Nice idea, but you can achieve something similar with an old PDA and a copy of Sidewindow http://www.innobec.com/index.php?page=sidewindow_en
Cheers.
I bought a used Dell 15" TFT with pivot function for 75 Euro a year ago. This is my secondery Desktop for ICQ / Mediaplayer or such stuff so i have much space on my primary Samsung 20".
I think this is cheaper and more usefull than that a little bit too small display ...
regards
Carsten
well on the desktop sure it's more usefull but on the road i think 15inch lcd wouldnt be so nice... personaly i have on my desktop 24" 1920x1200 monitor and its almost enough for me but on eee i could use additional displayespecialiy when i'm doing network diagnostics.
You are right: on the roaud it's more usefull than a 15 zoll TFT ;o) but i don't want to carry one more device with me, a mobile phone and the eee are anough :)
well if you could use symbian mobile phone as a secondary display it would be good .. screen res not high but would give some space
In Korea, 7" USB monitor is selling now. The price is around $130.
Have you got a link to it and is it usb powerer too?
What's wrong with VGA? Don't see the point in wasting a USB slot when you've already got a plug designed for monitors...
