I almost went for a Iphone 3G but if the EEE PC has build in 3G, I like to wait a little longer. I now use 3G with a usb modem and Macbook laptop. But the EEE PC is interesting because of the size.
WiFi + HSUPA in one card would be nice; we could just drop it in to the older models. Are there any in existence? The old antennas would not be ideal though. Still, it would be an interesting option for us tinkerers - replacing the antennas for proper multiband antennas should be possible, shouldn't it?
I wonder where Asus will *hide* the 3G-card in the enclosure.
In my Asus V2Je the 3G-card is situated below a RAM-slot, so changing the SIM-card requires a lid to be screwed off and a RAM-module to be removed, which is real bullshit, as I'm regularly using other SIM-cards in order to evade those insane roaming tariffs when I'm staying abroad.
Would be smart, if SIM-cardreaders were accessible without surgery.

Is it posible to solder in current eee 901 a mini pci connector and insert a 3G card?
